Finally MAC
Monday, March 2nd, 2009
I finally got myself into the Mac OS and damn I’m very very regretful for not changing soon. I mean damn its so nice, it really puts Vista to shame. It runs so smooth, fast, it just gets what I want done. Spaces is very helpful and useful for a laptop. I’m so use to using dual monitors and this (still prefer dual monitos) really treats me like I am running dual screens.
The dock I have always seen and I thought it was silly, to me it was like your Desktop Icons always showing. But honestly its kind of awesome, my adium jumps when I recieve a msg I click my Firefox to switch to the other screen, it is so clever that it actually is nicer than the old windows taskbar.
It runs very nice but I have been a windows user since Win 95 and every update there once a small learning curve cause well the updates werent to big that you would catch on in a week. Messing with OSX is not somthing for a pc newbie, I had to actually look up a few things and ask some geek friends, on easy things like how do I install programs. Thats something that in windows well you just click next, accept, ok, I agree. A little different and once you figure it out its actually brillant and easy. I’m not a laptop person but damn this Macbook is doing the work my desktop pc with dual screens did. I would love to get my hands on a IMAC desktop but damn they are pricey. Lets hope those horses can sell.
Look for BetoGonza at Vigster
Friday, August 1st, 2008Vigster is a new gaming community that launches to the public today, and it’s setting out to become an online resource for video game lovers everywhere. Similar in format to Shelfari, users can create a virtual representation of their game “shelf” displaying games they own, have played, and would like to play.
For each game on the site, users can also give reviews and ratings, begin discussions and layer in as much additional information as possible. That includes screen shots, videos, and other data that could be deemed useful. In this sense, Vigster is much like a wiki for video games. In Vigster’s own words, the community-driven content enables the site to become an “IMDB for video games.”

This informational portal approach is clearly what Vigster is going after with its new site, and for furthered development I’d love to see more personalized options for recommendations and related content available throughout the site as well. The video gaming community has a lot of options for online networking, so any additional customization Vigster can provide would be useful.
Linking profiles to established wish list or additional online retailers, as well as applications on Facebook or MySpace and even participation in open standards for portable media recommendations are a couple of ways Vigster could expand its feature set and offer more practical and interactive outlets for users.
iPhone 3G Out Today
Friday, July 11th, 2008
It’s hard to think of any other device that’s enjoyed the level of exposure and hype that Apple found in the launch of the first iPhone. Who could forget it? Everyone got to be a gadget nerd for a day; even those completely disinterested in technology seemed to come down with iPhone fever. But the original device was still far from perfect: its limited capabilities (especially in the 3G department), high price of entry, and the small number of countries in which it was available kept many potential buyers sidelined. Until now — or so Apple hopes.
